Once Upon a Time, there was a Tahoe wedding...
Emily and Christina are different people. One loves adventure, the other a quiet night in. She has lived in four countries; her one. Two stories collided on the dating app Bumble when Christina started vetting a new match name Emily. Within one week Christina thought Emily was a Russian bot and Emily thought Christina was going to jail. Their relationship started with Christina noting she was going to be gone for three months, “so……rain check?”
This intrigued Emily, she declined the offer. They talked every day and met in person on Thanksgiving day. It wasn't a year of thanks but they were thankful for their relationship.
The following Thanksgiving they moved to Sacramento, California with their pandemic puppy, Boots, Emily's many, many, many boxes of books and Christina's challenge coin collection.
Christina knew she was going to marry Emily when Christina locked herself out of her car and Emily figured out how to (ethically) break in. Emily knew she was going to marry Christina when Christina drank Macallan neat in fox footie pajama's.
Throughout their relationship Lake Tahoe has been a sacred space. It's within these mountains they grew an appreciation for communities and coffee shops, golfing, and taking german short haired pointers (and an 8% german shepherd) for drives around down.
On September 19th, they are blessed to bring their friends and family together to their sacred place to pronounce their story before Dog, and God.
